Postdoctoral fellow Mathea Loen gave the talk “What Makes Child Protection Trustworthy? Citizens’ Perceptions of Social Workers’ Fairness, Interpersonal Treatment, and Competence” on 25 September. The talk was given at the seminar “Trust within the Context of Child Welfare Services and Child Protection”, organised by the PERLA Centre at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Tampere University, and part of the seminar series LAPLAS. The seminar brought together researchers in child welfare and social work from the University of Helsinki and Tampere University, building on a University of Helsinki project on trust in child protection and between child protection workers and families.
