Hege Stein Helland attended the ESPAnet Conference in Lisbon

Researcher Hege Stein Helland recently attended the 24th ESPAnet Annual Conference in Lisbon, held 26–28 August 2026 at the Lisbon School of Economics & Management (ISEG), University of Lisbon. The conference was organised by the Institute of Public Policy (IPP), with the support of ISEG, and brought together around 400 participants from the Network for European Social Policy Analysis (ESPAnet). The theme of the conference was “Resize? Restructure? The European Social Model under Pressure.”

Helland’s presentation was titled “International Influence on Street-Level Bureaucracy? A study of Norwegian child protection and the European Court of Human Rights”, and was part of the stream “Social Workers and Social Policy: Policy Takers or Policy Makers?”
