Two PhD Positions at the Department of Government

We are excited to announce two new PhD positions at the Department of Government at the University of Bergen!

The first is a three-year project-based position at the Centre for Research on Discretion and Paternalism, as part of the PROTECT project. PROTECT is a collaborative initiative between the Faculty of Law and the Centre. It’s main focus is on how to balance children’s rights with society’s need for protection against serious crime, studying the intersection of child welfare and the criminal justice system across the Nordic countries. The PhD fellow will focus on Nordic population attitudes toward youth crime and delinquency.

The application deadline is June 30th. For more information and to apply, see here.

The second is an open four-year position at the Department of Government. The position is open to candidates with a strong academic background in political science or related fields, and we welcome applications from candidates with a variety of research interests relevant to the department’s areas of expertise.

The application deadline is June 7th. For more information and to apply, see here.
