Guest researcher: Isabel Fidalgo

We look forward to welcoming Erasmus exchange visitor Isabel Fidalgo at DIPA in April!

Isabel is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Porto (FPCEUP), Portugal. Her doctoral research focuses on children’s participation in child protection and adoption-related contexts, with a particular interest in ethical dimensions and comparative perspectives.

She will visit the University of Bergen and DIPA from 23 to 30 April. During her stay, she will be working alongside researchers at the centre and the department.

Isabel will also present her work in the Law, Politics and Welfare (LPW) research group on 23 April at 14:15. Her presentation, titled “What matters to me: a focused ethnography of children’s agency in adoption preparation”, will take place in Styrerommet at the Department of Government (Christies Gate 17).
