We are pleased to announce that Professor Marit Skivenes, Tarja Pösö, and June Thoburn are invited to present on an International Lecture organised by the Research Institute for Children’s Social Care, Waseda University, on the book “Adoption from Care: International Perspectives on Children’s Rights, Family Preservation and State Intervention,” which was translated to Japanese and recently published by Akashi Press.
The seminar will begin with an introduction by Misa Saigo, who translated the book with Katsura Umino, followed by presentations of Skivenes (Summary and Main Themes of the book), Thorburn (Adoption from Public Care in the US and UK), and Pösö (Adoption from Care in Europe), Q&A session, discussion section, and closing remarks.
