Get to know Lucie
What are you working on right now?
Currently, I am conducting a qualitative analysis of the courts’ evaluations of the child’s best interests in decisions of forced placement in child protection institutions.
Are you a cat or dog person, or both, or neither?
Definitely a cat person, but if I had the opportunity to have a dog, I’m pretty sure I would become both since I love animals in general.
If you had to choose a different field, what would it be?
Psychology or education. Or publishing. Or film and TV. Or ethology.
What’s the last book you could not put down?
“A Secret History” by Donna Tartt. Not the last one, but the one I’ve re-read the highest number of times. Didn’t know I would one day become an ‘academic’ myself when I first picked it up 20 years ago or so.
What is the most outdated piece of tech you still use regularly?
An old-fashioned alarm clock. Definitely not a morning person.
