SUMMARY:RDV: Rethinking domestic abuse in child protection (Brid Featherstone)
DESCRIPTION:Brid Featherstone is Professor of Social Work at the University of Huddersfield (England) and Associate Director of the Just Futures Centre\, a centre of excellence for research that seeks to address contemporary social problems affecting children\, young people\, families\, and communities. She worked in the field of social work from 1982-1992 and has since been involved in social work education and research at several universities. Professor Featherstone is internationally recognized in the areas of gender\, fathers\, and child protection and an awarded researcher. DESCRIPTION:På fredagens barnevernfrokost kommer professor Kirsten Sandberg og gir et foredrag om gjenforening etter EMD-dommene. I flere artikler har professor Sandberg analysert rettstilstanden og diskutert implikasjonene av EMD avgjørelsene for norsk barnevern. I foredraget får vi presentert noen av hovedresultatene fra disse arbeidene. \nKirsten Sandberg er en internasjonalt ledende og anerkjent barnerettighetsjurist\, som har blant annet vært leder for FNs komité for barns rettigheter i 2013-2015. \nKirsten Sandberg er professor ved Universitetet i Oslo og instituttleder ved Institutt for offentlig rett. \nBarnevernfrokost er en åpen webinar-serie om barnevern og barns rettigheter. Serien arrangeres av Centre for Research on Discretion and Paternalism (UiB) i samarbeid med Bergen kommune – Etat for barn og familie og Centre on Law and Social Transformation (UiB).

DESCRIPTION:Cancelled / postponed – We are looking into the possibility of arranging Jørn’s seminar at a later date and will return with more information\, so stay tuned. \nJørn Øyrehagen Sunde is Professor in legal history at the Department of Public and International Law at the University of Oslo. He has authored and edited numerous books\, including one on the history of the Norwegian Supreme Court\, as well as several articles and book chapters\, such as a chapter on the history of Nordic legal culture and court culture in the 2021 Springer book\, Rethinking Nordic Courts. Professor Sunde has been dedicated to dissemination. He has held over 600 speeches outside academia\, participated in the making of historical exhibitions\, radio and TV programs\, and written a series of newspaper articles.
