SUMMARY:RDV: Children’s consent to welfare services (Tarja Pösö)
DESCRIPTION:Tarja Pösö holds a position as Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences (Tampere University\, Finland) and is a professor II at the Department of Administration and Organization Theory (University of Bergen). Pösö has extensive experience in the studies of child protection\, social work and institutional practices\, with a keen interest in cross-cultural perspectives and developing methods and ethics for child protection studies. SUMMARY:Barnevernfrokost: Fra barnets beste til gjenforening som overordnet mål for barnevernstiltak etter omsorgsovertakelse? (Christian Børge Sørensen)
DESCRIPTION:Siden høsten 2018 er Norge hittil dømt i Den europeiske menneskerettighetsdomstol for å ha krenket retten til familieliv i 14 barnevernssaker. Dette har ført til endringer i norsk barnevernsrett og praksis\, ved økte krav til den nasjonale saksbehandlingen. Tema for Sørensens foredrag er det materielle/innholdsmessige; nemlig hvordan det rettslige gjenforeningsmålet i Den europeiske menneskerettighetskonvensjonen har fått langt større betydning for barnevernstiltak etter omsorgovertakelse. Sørensen stiller spørsmål ved om pendelen kan gå for langt i retning av å ivareta familiens enhet\, og gir noen tanker om hvordan en mer rettighetsbasert tilnærming til barnets beste kan fremme en mer balansert avveiing mellom kryssende rettigheter og hensyn. \nForedraget bygger videre på analyser i Sørensens artikkel «Langvarige fosterhjemsplasseringer og forholdsmessighetskravet i EMK art. 8»\, inntatt i Lov og Rett 2020 s. 103-122. \nChristian Børge Sørensen er Fylkesnemndsleder for barnevern og sosiale saker i Rogaland og har tidligere vært ansatt som førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for sosialfag\, Det samfunnsvitenskapelige fakultet (Universitetet i Stavanger). \nZoom-lenke: \nhttps://uib.zoom.us/j/61049508328?pwd=V29YcUs3eXVOS1BxN2xiV2ZNU01DZz09 \nPasscode: JrDfd0dL \n

DESCRIPTION:Catarina Barbieri is a Researcher in Gender and Law and holds a PhD (2012) from the University of São Paulo Law School (Brazil). She was a Fox International Fellow at Yale University in 2010-2011 and visiting Doctoral Student at the University of Toronto\, Faculty of Law\, in 2011. Barbieri is the editor-in-chief of the online academic journal of São Paulo Law School\, Direito GV Law Review.
