DESCRIPTION:Pieter De Wilde \nThe essence of democratic backsliding in the European Union: deliberation and rule of law \n  \nPieter de Wilde is Professor of Political Science at the Department of Sociology and Political Science at NTNU. His research addresses political conflict over European integration and globalization\, Euroscepticism as well as public debate in mass media\, the internet\, and parliamentary settings.
